The return of line 1 towards the train station in Bordeaux?
Residents of Mérignac have started an online petition to bring back bus line number 1 to Bordeaux. While the new express bus G has made many people happy since its launch in June - especially the folks in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles - it has left the residents of Mérignac feeling a bit sour. For years, they could easily reach the Saint-Jean train station (or the airport going the other way) right from the city center. Now, it's a bit trickier and requires a transfer at Gambetta!

3,200 signers are voting for it!
A petition has been launched addressed to Mayor of Mérignac, Alain Anziani and President of Bordeaux Métropole, Christine Bost. Signed by 3,200 internet users, it calls on elected officials to restore the line. "This allowed direct and quick access between two crucial points through the city center of Mérignac: a true comfort for those living in Mérignac", the author states.
Contacted by our editorial team, she expresses concern about "the little consideration given to user requests in Mérignac."
