A Break in 2026
Decision made in early August 2025: the 2026 edition of Bordeaux Fête le Vin will not take place. The CIVB, weakened by a challenging economic climate for the wine sector, prefers to “forget the 2026 edition and dedicate the budget to the 2027 year,” explains Olivier Occelli, general director of the tourism office and the congress center of Bordeaux Métropole.
The tourism office, the city, and the metropolis acknowledge these challenges and will continue to support the sector during this delicate period.

Coming Back Stronger in 2027
But the celebration will be even more beautiful and grand when it returns in 2027. From July 7 to 11, the banks of the Garonne will come alive with a spectacular edition, blending the world of wine and the sea. Alongside Bordeaux Fête le Vin, the city will host the start of the Tall Ships Race, an international race of historic tall ships. “We expect a million visitors for this major event,” the organizers happily share.

So the date is set: Bordeaux Fête le Vin will return in 2027 for an unprecedented edition, featuring tastings, festive activities, and a spectacular departure of old sailing ships.
Each edition of Bordeaux Fête le Vin attracts an average of 200,000 visitors, with 87% coming from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, along with many tourists from Spain, America, and English-speaking countries. A true showcase for the region, this event has become an iconic date in the cultural and tourist spotlight of the metropolis over the years.
