A Change of Scenery for the Christmas Market in Bordeaux
It just happened! The Mayor of Bordeaux has announced the relocation of the traditional 2024 Christmas Market in Bordeaux. Why the change? It's because of the temporary renovations at the Allées de Tourny, with the first shovels set to hit the ground very soon and lasting all the way until 2027. According to France Bleu, we'll need to get used to it because "the Bordeaux city hall does not plan to return to the Allées de Tourny, even after the work is done."

The magic of Santa takes over the Quinconces
The 30th edition of the Christmas Market is undergoing a fantastic transformation, as it spreads joy in the largest square in Europe! While there were thoughts about using the quays, it's finally the Place des Quinconces that has been chosen to be the magical setting. There’s just a tiny little hiccup that might make things interesting: a forced cohabitation with the big flea market from the end of October to early December. But with a sprawling area of 12 hectares, we’re sure both sides can find a way to share the space happily!

Even with its new location, the Bordeaux Christmas market is sticking to its charming recipe! You’ll find around 100 exhibitors in cozy wooden chalets, offering unique gift ideas, delicious food stands, fun activities, and rides for the kids, plus the famous Santa Claus sleigh where you can snap some photos! There will be live demonstrations and even workshops for the little ones. The fun begins on Friday, November 29, and runs until Sunday, December 29. Come and explore every day from 11 AM to 9 PM!
