It's THE most anticipated culinary event of the year! The Michelin Guide unveiled its new French stars this Monday night from the Metz Congress Center, alongside all the star chefs from France and future awardees. In total, 78 new stars have been awarded, including 57 first stars and 10 green stars. Among them? Two restaurants in Bordeaux now boast two stars, a jewelry in the city center has earned its first star, and a new dining spot in Gironde has been recognized in the town of Saint-Jean-de-Blaignac.
A 2nd star for L'Observatoire du Gabriel
The Michelin Guide honors the gastronomic L’Observatoire du Gabriel in Bordeaux and its executive chef Bertrand Noeureuil has been awarded a second star. This distinction honors the hard work and talent of the executive chef at Gabriel, who joined this iconic establishment in the Place de la Bourse in December 2023. After training with some of the finest chefs, he now composes his own culinary symphony and delivers his interpretation of Aquitaine: a marine, earthy, and winemaking Aquitaine that invites you to discover the treasures of its territory, all through a neo-classical cuisine infused with poetry, where the cooking methods and sauces rhythmically echo the seasons.

The countryside also embraces gastronomic excellence. A passionate couple skillfully runs this inn, featuring contemporary design, perfectly located by the Dordogne River. A remarkable place, the establishment offers several menus where Chef Thomas L'Hérisson elevates the ingredients with precision, taking a modern and subtly creative approach. Among his signature dishes, you'll find confit salmon with yogurt and dill, marinated small mushrooms in vinegar, and miso-marinated sweetbreads cooked meunière. With a wine list boasting over 500 references, every guest will find something they love.
