A project to ease congestion in the metropolitan area

Launched in 2019 with the Bordeaux–Créon and Bordeaux–Blaye lines, the road segment of the metropolitan RER is taking a new step forward. The goal: to improve access to public transport in suburban areas, reduce traffic congestion, and limit greenhouse gas emissions. Ultimately, 6 express bus lines are set to be deployed by next year.

Line 410: Bordeaux – Arès-Lège

This line connects the Saint-Jean station to the intermodal exchange hub in Arès-Lège in under two hours. Some trips will end at Place des Quinconces. It replaces the regional line 412 (Bordeaux–Cap Ferret), but no longer directly serves the centers of Andernos, Arès, and Cap Ferret. In exchange, the service is significantly enhanced: 28 round trips daily from Monday to Friday, between 5:30 AM and 10:15 PM, with a bus every 15 minutes during peak hours.

is top-notch. Buses will also run on weekends and holidays.

Line 430: Beautiran – Le Haillan

Designed to connect the Graves to the west of the Metropolis without passing through the center of Bordeaux, the 430 serves places like La Brède, Pessac, and Mérignac. It operates from Monday to Friday, from 5:30 AM to 8:30 PM, with consistent frequency: a bus every 15 minutes during peak hours.

Air conditioning, wifi, USB ports, and access to digital news complete the onboard offerings. All of this at an attractive price: €2.50 for a one-way trip and €4.50 for a round trip. These are in addition to the already existing 2 lines heading towards Créon and Bordeaux and Blaye, launched respectively in 2019 and 2024.
