The madd-bordeaux reopens after 2 years of renovations

Launched in 2023, the renovations of the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design are entering a first phase with a partial reopening starting April 22. Visitors will be able to explore new exhibition spaces, as well as the former 19th-century prison, accessible for the first time as part of 3 inaugural exhibitions.

In the end, the project plans for a complete transformation of the site by 2027, featuring an immersive journey through the history of the place, its collections, and contemporary creation with a sustainable approach.

The Saint-Michel Spire will soon be accessible again

Another symbol of Bordeaux's heritage, the Saint-Michel Spire will reopen to the public on June 13, after several years of restoration. Standing tall at 114 meters, this iconic monument is the second tallest bell tower in France. Built between the 14th and 16th centuries, it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
