WEFRAC 2024 in Bordeaux
Every year, Wefrac comes back at the early onset of autumn, bringing with it a unique programming experience region by region. In Bordeaux, it will take place at the MECA, the big contemporary toolbox located in the Saint-Jean-Belcier district, which houses the Frac collections alongside the Artistic Office of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the Book, Cinema, and Audiovisual Agency.
The date is set for Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17, for 2 days filled with exciting and diverse highlights at the MECA on the 5th and 6th floors.

La MECA takes center stage
What’s in store? Vernissages of exhibitions starting Saturday at 6 PM, a performance, and even a DJ set hosted by IBOAT with an electrifying night until midnight (last entry at 11 PM). The fun continues the next day with a daytime program from 1 PM to 6 PM, featuring everything from ephemeral tattoo booths and badge workshops to exclusive reserve visits for a sneak peek at the Frac's collection.

The art of hospitality
During these 2 days, culture lovers can enjoy free access to 2 exhibitions: « Primavera, Primavera » and « Sea Urchins of Memory » by Massinissa Selmani. The Frac is a collection of works that has been around for 40 years, growing over the years with new acquisitions and a focus on emerging and local artists. The next exhibition, opening on November 16, shines a light on young contemporary creation.
