Like every year, The Shimmering Odyssey offers us a magical escape right in Bordeaux. From December to January, rediscover the Parc Bordelais as it lights up with a sprinkle of magic after the sun goes down, showcasing its fabulous lanterns and other dazzling light installations. Let yourself be swept away by the many enchanting scenes, and you'll leave with stars in your eyes!

This is the good news we've all been waiting for to brighten up the upcoming winter season! If you’re already tired of the daily grind and the freezing temperatures, we have just the event for you. From December 12, 2025, to January 11, 2026, Parc Bordelais, located on Rue du Bocage, will be adorned with enchanting lights for the new edition of The Luminous Odyssey. A wonderful spectacle that makes both little and big dreamers go wow, blending poetry, technology, and wonder.


An Enchanted Adventure Under the Open Sky 

For this even more magical edition, Parc Bordelais, in collaboration with 1001Lumières, has prepared a marvelous show featuring huge silk sculptures scattered throughout the park. What’s on the agenda this year? A discovery of entirely new magical worlds, including a fairy forest filled with glowing, playful creatures, magical unicorns, the valley of dinosaurs, and koalas.

in the middle of a yoga session, the radiant red pandas, the forest of shimmering trees, the colorful underwater world, the mystery of India, or even the enchanting universe of the pharaohs. In short, there’s so much to see with these majestic installations, crafted with miles of silk and thousands of LEDs.


Northern Lights in Bordeaux

The cherry on top, a revolutionary and unique spectacle in France awaits you. If seeing the northern lights is on your bucket list, you’ll be thrilled to know that The Luminescent Odyssey will grant you this wonderful gift without you needing to leave Bordeaux. In the dark sky, green lights blend with orange halos, making the moment as captivating as it is dazzling. An extraordinary event you shouldn't miss for any reason!

And for an extra dose of magic, The Luminescent Odyssey also offers interactive animations throughout your visit, featuring the French duo Black Finger, renowned worldwide for their mastery of shadow play, the art of creating shadows with hands. Each evening, you can enjoy a shadow puppet show designed by the company. A magical, poetic, and visual moment, perfectly in harmony!
