From May 1st to 3rd, the winemakers of Saint-Émilion invite you to join them. Enjoy cellar tours, tastings among the vines, and meet the people who create the wine. For three days, one of the world's most prestigious vineyards opens up for exploration. Some activities are free, while others require reservations. Either way, it’s the kind of delightful experience you simply can’t pass up.

Pushing Open Doors We Never Dare to

We often pass by those imposing gates, those paths of white gravel, those names etched in stone. We slow down, we say to ourselves, "one day," and then we move on. Open Doors Day is the moment when that "one day" becomes now.

4 names: Lussac Saint-Émilion, Puisseguin Saint-Émilion, Saint-Émilion, and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, over 110 estates, and winemakers swapping their boots for a warm welcome as they guide you through their vineyards, serve you a glass, and share the story of their vintage. All of this in a UNESCO-listed setting for over 25 years. It’s hard to get more postcard-perfect than this!


Learn to Savor for Real

For those who want to go beyond just saying "It's good," the School of Wine at the Maison du Vin de Saint-Émilion offers two fun formats over the weekend. There's a beginners' session at 11 AM to understand the terroirs and grape varieties of Saint-Émilion, or a guided tasting of three Grand Cru Classés at 4 PM, led by an oenologist. It costs €25, and you'll leave with real insights for your next happy hour!

Underground tours, strolls, vineyard tables, and contests

Between tastings, we dive into the medieval city with the "Saint-Émilion Underground" guided tours, hop on a bike to explore the hills, and book a table at one of the estates that welcome visitors for lunch. The most romantic will wait for nightfall to enjoy "Saint-Émilion under the stars." For the kids, the treasure hunt "Robin's Trails" turns the stroll into an exciting adventure.

Want to extend the fun? Two vineyard dinners are scheduled for Friday, May 1st, and Saturday, May 2nd at 8 PM in the Dominican hall (€45/person, reservation required). And for the luckiest ones, two contests are on! One on Instagram until April 24th, or on-site by scanning the QR codes at each Château during the weekend. A great way to take home more than just memories.
