To get there, you will have to make some effort: the lake is accessible by walking from the village of Aydius. Between 3 and 5 hours of hiking depending on the fitness level and chosen itinerary, on wooded trails allowing you to explore the great diversity of landscapes. Although sublime, the hike is considered "difficult" in expert guides.

At the heart of all conversations, the Lac du Montagnon regularly appears in the rankings of the most beautiful lakes in France. Its romantic shape and vibrant colors strangely resemble the photo of the Heart of Voh on the cover of the book The Earth From Above by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. A marvel of nature!
