The first European park dedicated to domestic animals and childhood
In the heart of Gujan-Mestras, the Ladybird Park has delighted little ones for nearly forty years. Inaugurated in 1985 by Lionel Fricaud-Chagnaud on the former site of the Hume Zoo, the park is now run by the Carrara family. It has managed to evolve over time — in 2009, the grand Mine Train made its debut, bringing a fresh wave of excitement to the park's attractions.

It all begins in the mini-petting farm where you can cuddle baby goats, calves, and lambs, and sometimes even feed them with a bottle! It's a unique experience that allows children to discover the lives of animals up close, in a fun and comforting environment.
Attractions for All Ages
After the gentle charm of the farm, it's time for some thrills! The park offers a wonderful variety of attractions suited for different age groups: gentle rides like the Hot Air Balloons or Galloping Horses for the little ones, to more exciting adventures like the Mine Train or Splash River for the older kids. The iconic Flying Ladybugs continue to be a family favorite!
When the sun is blazing, it's time to head to the water play areas. Water games, slides, and shallow pools invite you to cool off in the great outdoors.
The Ideal Family Outing
In the summer, the days are extended with shows that add a touch of magic. Picnic areas, shaded spots, and family-friendly services with stroller access are available to make your visit easier. The park is open from April to early November, with varying hours depending on the season (open daily in summer, just on weekends in autumn). Expect to pay €17.50 for adults and €16 for children aged 2 to 11. Kids under 2 get in for free.

Naturally responsible, the Coccinelle park proudly embraces strong values: using local products, hiring locally, conserving energy (with LED bulbs and efficient equipment), and making commitments to schools and associations through preferential pricing.
