The park of Château de Castel Novel sparkles with light to make the French dream. From December 5 to February 15, the property hosts the most spectacular and grand festival in Northern Europe dedicated to lights and giant lanterns.
The first edition of this Kingdom of Lights promises an unprecedented nighttime journey into a world of fantasy. "It's a total sensory experience where lights, colors, music, and projections blend together to create a spectacular showcase" the organizers share with us.
When a castle transforms into a magical kingdom
As soon as visitors pass through the gates, they dive into an extraordinary universe of 11 hectares, populated by fantastical creatures, oversized clocks, and giant mushrooms. Inspired by the world of Alice in Wonderland, the stroll invites you on a sensory journey where time stands still and imagination soars.
Sure! Here's the translation:Ute; wake up!
.
"With each step, visitors become explorers of a living tale: they follow a hurried white rabbit, encounter mischievous creatures, venture into an enchanted forest, and marvel at an oversized clock where time races away" they explain. For a full month, 100 people tirelessly worked on the construction and installation of this monumental decor, bringing this colossal project to life in the heart of Corrèze.
A million lights for a monumental experience
Every evening, more than a thousand silk sculptures, handcrafted and illuminated by over a million LEDs, create a spectacular path. Some...The artworks reach up to ten meters high, transforming the castle park into a living theater of light and poetry. Between art, nature, and illusion, they bring dreams to both little ones and grown-ups during the festive season.
A Christmas Market and Live Shows
The stroll continues around the Christmas market, where local producers, artisans, and tasty stands invite you to take a friendly break. On-site, a pop-up stage welcomes comedians, circus performers, and laser shows, lighting up the Corrèze sky with magic.
The festival will be open from Thursday to Sunday outside of school holidays and every day during the holidays (with parking available). The ticket office is open, and tickets (dated or not) are available starting from €11 for children and €17 for adults.
