A House with a Southwest Heritage

With delicious food, lively banda concerts, and melodic accents, Adiu! (like the Gascon greeting) draws its essence from friendship and sharing, nestled deep in Victor Hugo street, just steps away from the Burgundy gate.

The format of this karaoke evening features three musicians on stage - covering the greatest hits of your favorite songs, with a repertoire suitable for everyone ranging from the 80s to the chart-toppers of the 2000s. They’ll bring you, your friends, and your table buddies up on stage to make you sing and dance. Everyone picks their song, signs up, and gets called to join the band. So, who’s the star here?

Like a village counter in Gascony

With a total area of 500 m2 - spread out over a large terrace, a dining room, and a dancing cellar. This huge neighborhood bar - along with its sibling Comptoir Jacmé - is a heartfelt tribute to the founders' roots and a nod to their predecessors. The key words? A wonderful warmth and camaraderie that come alive in an old building from the 18th century, filled with history and empty for the last 10 years.

The key ingredients? The cheerfulness and camaraderie that come alive in a charming old building from the 18th century, filled with history and sitting empty for 10 years. Now, the floors are vibrating, the doors are swaying, and the walls adorned with Landais pine lights and berets from the region are more lively than ever!

A kingdom of local flavors

Naturally hedonistic, Adiu! takes pride in delighting its guests with shareable dishes. Homemade cuisine with no pretensions, featuring seasonal recipes reimagined to suit the tastes of the moment.

Get ready for their new seasonal menu launching in February 2025, crafted by their new head chef Simon, a 30-year-old talent with a background that spans from prestigious kitchens in our capital to experiences in cozy little eateries. What’s in store? Freshness, flavor, and friendliness. Indulgent plates to share, along with our timeless classics!the duck hearts & the ribeye steak.

Customers settle in, the kitchen opens up, and intoxicating aromas fill the air—you’re in the right spot! Good food is essential, just like the wine and the famous “glouglous de l'Adiu!” that accompany the dishes.

Another highlight of the establishment? An incredible selection of spirits and stunning signature cocktails, with new creations unveiled every semester. There are 8 cocktails available on the menu, priced between 12€ and 13€.

Within its walls, the culture of the aperitif and sharing flows naturally, and every moment turns into a celebration of life and its delicious pleasures.

A Passion for Madagascar's Black Gold

Behind this project is Eric Pommeraud, a former chef from Bordeaux with Malagasy roots and a true foodie at heart. Since 2023, he has already been delighting the finest tables in the region (Maison Nouvelle, L’Oiseau Bleu, Le Quatrième Mur, Hôtel Renaissance, Le Prince Noir…) with his exceptional vanilla pods, harvested in Sambava, the world capital of vanilla located on the northeast coast of Madagascar.

With Vanille Lina, Eric Pommeraud now wants to share this treasure with all the people of Bordeaux, directly and without any middlemen. « By opening our pastry shop and gourmet store specializing in Madagascar Bourbon vanilla in the center of Bordeaux, we aim to offer our exceptional products to individuals without any intermediaries, and to expand our range of products available for sale », he explains.

A Temple of Vanilla Delights

Nestled in a cozy 35m² space, Vanille Lina’s shop will offer takeaway-only treats. On the pastry side, get ready for a selection of traditional sweets with a vanilla twist: Bordeaux canelés, vanilla choux, creamy flans, and even mini canelés to enjoy with your coffee.

The grocery space is not to be missed, featuring a selection of artisanal products : Madagascar vanilla pods, vanilla-infused tea, acacia honey with vanilla, vanilla foie gras, vanilla fleur de sel… Everything you need to create personalized gift baskets, perfect for treating yourself or giving as a delightful gift for a truly local gourmet break.

A local and committed approach

Vanille Lina is also a company dedicated to the life of Bordeaux: the distribution of vanilla pods to professionals is done every morning by bike around Bordeaux, and individuals from all over France can order online for quick postal delivery.
