The Capc Museum of Contemporary Art in Bordeaux is excited to wrap up the year with a festive event just for families. On Sunday, December 28th, from 11 AM to 6 PM, Capc Kids will open its doors for a creative day filled with workshops, games, and free discoveries for children.

Save the date! December 28th is all about the kids. Right in the middle of school holiday season, CAPC is hosting a special event with a free day designed for families. Starting at 11 AM, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, including DIY workshops, screen printing, fun tours, a chocolate treasure hunt, and free access to the Cool Kids Space, the permanent gallery for ages 2-8. This is a rare cultural and family-friendly offering in the heart of Bordeaux that turns the museum into a true artistic adventure playground.

Workshops, Discoveries, and Family Festivities

Throughout the day, families will be invited to create, decorate, and recycle during ongoing workshops. The association L'Insoleuse will host a screen printing workshop to make shimmering greeting cards (2:30 PM - 5 PM). The DIY workshops will allow everyone to make garlands and original decorations from materials...

The younger ones can also join in the fun with the Chocolate Treasure Map, a treasure hunt within the exhibition, which will end with a delicious reward. Playful visits All Aboard, tailored to their age, will guide them through fantastic cabins, pirate tales, and contemporary artworks.

The Cool Kids Space: a floor designed for playing, exploring, and learning

Created by artist Mathis Collins, the Cool Kids Space offers a unique immersive experience. Slide entrance, interactive installations, toddler garden, giant books, foam building space: all these elements create an artistic universe where children can freely experiment through play, storytelling, and sensory expression.

Capc Kids also spans an entire floor with reading nooks, coloring spots, a short film cycle (Kids Video Drama), outdoor terraces for a sunny break, and Look Workshops offered throughout the year.

A Family-Friendly Museum Café

The Museum Café by Vivants will be open all day long, offering brunch, lunch, or snacks in a kids-friendly space specially designed for families. It's the perfect pit stop between workshops or after a morning of artistic exploration.
