A huge ball for aspiring wizards is about to take place in a castle near Bordeaux

Costumes, potions, and spells come alive in the heart of a 19th-century castle. On July 19th, southern Gironde will host a ball like no other: a magical immersion inspired by a famous world of wizardry, orchestrated by the association La Balzadaise.

A Fantastic Themed Ball

Join us in Bazas at the Château Saint-Vincent for an enchanting summer ball. Starting at 8 PM, guests will step into a very special school, filled with charismatic teachers, costumed students, and unsuspected spells.

This first immersive ball, created by the La Balzadaise association, kicks off a series of four seasonal balls inspired by history, culture, and fiction. Each season brings its own era: from Ancient Rome to the Renaissance, from salons to Bridgerton, and into fantastic and pop universes.


The Immersive Gathering for Potterheads

For this summer edition, the castle's walls transform into a famous school of magic. The decor, designed down to the last detail, transports guests to another dimension. Right from the entrance, the experience is complete: costumes required, a magical feast under a starry sky crafted by a chef, actors embodying familiar figures – including a certain director with a white beard, a potions master with a piercing gaze, and other mysterious guests whose names no one dares to speak…


The activities promise to send shivers down the spines of young and old alike: potion-making classes with bottles to take home, invisibility cloak workshop, spell duels, an escape game with prizes to unlock, magical games, and photo sessions to capture this timeless night. A partnership with the shop Les sœurs Weasley, a licensed Harry Potter store, will add to the fantastic arsenal of the evening.

From Hogwarts to Bazas, from fiction to reality 

“The goal is for everyone to completely disconnect,” Laura, the president of the La Balzadaise association, tells us. “The dress code is mandatory because we want everyone to become a character, like a living painting.” Behind this careful staging, a troupe of passionate actors from the worlds of cosplay and theater will bring every corner of the castle to life with embodied magic.

The ball will take place on Saturday, July 19th starting at 8 PM, at the Château Saint-Vincent in Bazas, in South-Gironde. The price is €60 per adult, €20 for children under 1 year old.0 years old, and entry is free for those under 4 years old.
