Great news for fans of the most famous comic book! Our favorite Gauls, celebrating their 65th anniversary this year, are now the stars of a brand new virtual reality escape game in Bordeaux and in several locations across France. The new adventure Astérix: Mission Potions! has been available since September 7th at Virtual Room Bordeaux. It’s a family-friendly experience developed in partnership with Albert René editions.
A missing ingredient for the potion
To succeed in the mission, you'll need to help Asterix and Obelix on their quest. Here’s the scoop: a secret ingredient is missing to complete the famous potion from Getafix. As aspiring druids, you’ll have to set out to find it, but the path might be filled with obstacles and surprises!
Fully immersed in the heart of the Gallic village for 50 minutes, you’ll experience epic adventures alongside your favorite heroes. And of course, you’ll get to face a whole bunch of Romans and, like any good Gaul, defeat them!
An immersive adventure in virtual reality
Here, there are no actors or puzzles to solve to get the key that unlocks the treasure chest leading you to a new room (if you've ever done an escape game, you know what we mean), since everything is done in virtual reality! With a headset on, you'll step into the shoes of a real Gaul and even interact with other players.
To join the adventure, head to the Bordeaux room of Virtual Room. Each session is played with 2 to 4 players and is accessible from the age of 8. You can even bring your English-speaking friends since the escape game is available in both French and English.
