It was in the prestigious setting of the Waldorf Hotel in London, during the World Drinks Awards 2025 ceremony, that the Citadelle Distillery was crowned Best Tourist Attraction in the World. This award highlights the quality of the experience offered by the establishment, the excellence of its spirits, and the warm welcome extended to visitors.

A unique place to experience and taste

The distillery, completely rebuilt in 2021, impresses with its open architecture and contemporary lines.
Here, craftsmanship truly shines: juniper berries are grown right in front of the château, and the 19 botanicals are infused using a patented progressive infusion process, which brings out the best in every flavor. The range includes several expressions, such as the famous Citadelle Original, the Jardin d’Été, and even a surprising pickle-flavored gin, born from an April Fools’ joke… that became a bestseller!
Tours, Tastings, and Picnics in the Gardens
The site offers a guided tour followed by a delightful gin tasting (15 € for adults, free for kids), as well as mixology workshops, tastings of Ferrand Cognacs and Planter's Rums (which are also owned by Maison Ferrand), plus a cocktail bar to make your experience even sweeter!

Designed as a vibrant living space, the distillery also hosts themed events, summer evenings, markets, and private gatherings. Enjoy delicious picnic baskets (with terrines, cheeses, vegetables, and fresh bread…) in the castle gardens, glass in hand, nestled between the cypress hedges.
