Mega Unity: Bordeaux residents win €100,000
It's a moment of glory for the Eysinaise troupe. Well-known in the cultural scene of Bordeaux, Mega Unity shines with its visually and synchronously choreographed movements. Created in 2006 by Laurence Dufort, the group of 64 amateur dancers aged 13 to 35 and based at the Attitude studio made a sensation on M6.
It must be said that the group, engaged in urban dance for 30 years, is not new to this. After a remarkable performance in 2021 which earned them a second place, they have now won the final and the €100,000 prize against dancer Titos Tsaï. They also made a splash in the USA by finishing third on "America’s Got Talent" or reaching the finals of the Spanish version. International recognition for these artists familiar with the "golden buzzer"!
From global TV sets to the Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux
Always seeking new challenges, the company of Laurence Dufort is already thinking about the next step. They will present their first full-length show "Double Face" at the Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
The €100,000 prize will help fund costumes, technical equipment, and some of the travel costs if the show is to be exported. The 1 hour and 15 minute show is already in preparation.
In an exclusive interview with Sud-Ouest Bordeaux, the founder explains: "France has incredible talent is the foundation, but here, we will not limit ourselves to just physical work of the arms. The tickets are already available online!
