This is a very selective list, reserved for less than 1% of establishments worldwide, based solely on traveler reviews.

In front of the grand palaces renowned throughout France, the Burdigala makes its mark in 2nd place among the best hotels in France according to Tripadvisor. Located just steps away from the Mériadeck district, this historic 5-star hotel in Bordeaux charms guests with its contemporary elegance, attentive service, and warm atmosphere.

In its verdict, Tripadvisor praises a place that is “a blend of modern elegance, warmth, and contemporary design in the heart of Bordeaux,” where “the high-quality interiors and exceptional service set the tone for an unforgettable stay.” With a rating of 4.9/5, this establishment surpasses luxury hotel references and sits just behind the top-ranked Parisian hotel, Malte – Astotel.

Thoroughly renovated by architect Fabien Roque, the Burdigala embodies a new generation of luxury hotels: welcoming, high-tech, and open to the city. Its 83 rooms and suites blend light wood, noble materials, and high-tech amenities (Chromecast, Marshall speakers, custom digital app, etc.).

A restaurant that celebrates flavors of yesteryear

At the helm of restaurant Madame B, chef Grégory Vingadassalon – who has worked in the kitchens of Alain Ducasse and at Saint-James in Bouliac – creates delicious dishes that pay homage to classic tastes.it's a delicious and creative menu. Its “Little Dishes of Madame B”, inspired by Proust's madeleines, beautifully reimagine local products with finesse and emotion. The restaurant is even listed in the ranking of the 100 best in France by TheFork.


This award confirms the upgrade of the first 5-star hotel in Bordeaux, inaugurated in 1988 and shows that the rejuvenation carried out by its new group is really paying off!
