Karaoke Party in the Boireau Lounge

This Saturday, from 2 PM to 3 PM, residents of Bordeaux are invited to hit the high notes where the great tunes usually soar. In the Boireau Lounge of the Grand-Théâtre, a unique karaoke event will be hosted by Alexis Duffaure, assistant to the director of the Bordeaux National Opera Choir.

Here, no pop hits, but the most iconic pages of the French lyrical repertoire: excerpts from Carmen, Offenbach's Barcarolle, The Singer from Mexico, and other carefully chosen popular choruses. The audience will decide which pieces to sing along to, all in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. It's a participatory moment that’s both joyful and accessible, a symbol of a relaxed opera open to all curious souls. See you on May 10 to sing!the opera... head-on and from the heart.
