It's great to live in the land of Grand Crus Classés!

On Monday, January 27, the booking site Booking.com revealed its Traveller Review Awards 2025, a ranking that highlights the regions and cities in France deemed the most warmly welcoming by users of the platform. The medieval town of Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage site and only 45 minutes from Bordeaux, proudly takes a 10th place that warms the heart. The picturesque village, known for its exceptional vineyards and internationally renowned wine, is a true delight!It doesn't lose its warmth and human touch, though! 😊

These French cities where life is nice

Booking, which is full of data on all scales, has also created the top 10 most welcoming French cities. The first surprise: this time, no city from Brittany made the list!

```nne no one made it to the rankings. Instead, other regions are in the spotlight: Alsace and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur are shining brightly, with three and four towns respectively making it to the top.
Actually, it’s the city of Roussillon (PACA), in the department of Vaucluse, that takes the top spot. This department is on a roll, as Vaison-la-Romaine had already received this title in 2024. Here’s the complete ranking:
1. Roussillon (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur)
2. Arcs 1950 (Rhône-Alpes)
3. Riquewihr (Alsace)
4. Eguisheim (Alsace)
5. L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur)
6. Kaysersberg (Alsace)
7. Bédoins (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur)
8. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur)
9. Aigues-Mortes (Languedoc-Roussillon)
10. Saint-Émilion (Aquitaine)
The Gironde capital doesn't seem to have gathered enough positive reviews to hope for a place in the ranking. All that's left is to wait for next year and hope for a magnificent comeback. Saint-Emilion shines bright with a prestigious spot. A true gem of the Southwest, this wine village embodies the Bordeaux way of life in all its glory.
