On Sunday, March 9, 2025, the Carnival of the 2 Banks will take over the streets of Bordeaux for its 29th edition, featuring a lush and vibrant theme: the Amazon. This popular parade, now a must-see in the Gironde capital, promises a captivating, colorful, and festive afternoon, blending traditions, cultures, and enchanting rhythms.

An Electrifying Parade on the Amazon Theme
Starting at 2 PM, the grand parade will take off from the Queyries dock, on the right bank of the Garonne, by the Yves Parlier pontoon. Participants, dressed in their most beautiful costumes inspired by the lush vegetation and mythical creatures of the Amazon, will follow an iconic route: the Stone Bridge, Cours Victor Hugo, Cours Pasteur, and will wrap up at 4:30 PM at Pey-Berland Square, for a wild and dancing finale.
Batucadas, Latin Dances, Colorful Structures, and Stunt Shows
The event, infused with the legends and ancestral cultures of the Amazon rainforest, will be brought to life by batucadas and traditional Latin dances. During the parade, spectators will be able to admire colorful structures, floats, and stunt performances. The visual artist Duda Moraes will also be a special guest!

The Carnival of Two Shores, a true popular celebration!
More than 10,000 people are expected for this edition organized by Rock School Barbey, the Rocher de Palmer, and many local associations. And just like every year, spectators will be able to vote for their favorite parade on the official event website.
Due to the scale of the event, public transport will be affected. Tram interruptions and bus diversions will be expected starting at 1:30 PM, particularly on lines A, B, C, and D. Details about these disruptions are available on the TBM website.
