The International Institute of Image and Sound (3iS), located in Bordeaux, has just received an exceptional distinction: the school ranks among the world’s top creative training programs according to The Rookies, achieving 4th place in the Production Excellence / Console Games category. This is a rare recognition that highlights the quality of its teaching as well as the talent of its students.

This is an international accolade for the 3iS Bègles school, which has secured 4th place in the prestigious The Rookies ranking. According to this widely recognized independent international ranking in the video game and animation cinema industry, 3iS shines this year as one of the best schools in the world for training in digital creation professions. In 2024, the institution was in 10th place.

An award honoring the animation & video game program at the Bordeaux campus

Located in the Terres-Neuves district of Bègles, this school in Nouvelle-Aquitaine has been recognized for the excellence of its animation cinema and video game program, which is already well-known within its 6,500 m² campus. The ranking was based on student projects assessed by a jury of international experts from the biggest studios in the industry.

The 3iS Bordeaux school welcomes hundreds of students each year in an environment fully tailored for visual and sound creation. The facilities, among the most comprehensive in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, include: a 250-seat screening room, 3 filming studios, 1 live performance stage, a 4K multi-camera control room, sound studios with high-end acoustic treatment, 32 editing rooms, 2 5.1 mixing studios, a radio studio, graphic arts workshops and many computer spaces and specialized rooms.

Six major fields coexist here: cinema & audiovisual, 2D/3D animation, sound engineering, sound design, video games, acting.
