-
Gold – Espresso Single Origin (traditional) : Gerba Dogo
-
Gold – Filter Single Origin (experimental) : Sidra

A rare performance, especially since high-level European roasters were competing this year in the espresso, filter, milk, and plant-based beverage categories.

Piha, a Bordeaux coffee roaster on the rise
Founded in 2016 by Pierre Guérin and Carole Laffargue, Piha has established itself as one of the key names in specialty coffee in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Afterwards,Since the opening of their first workshop and online shop, followed by the iconic coffee shop on Rue des Ayres in 2017, the project took a new turn in 2021 with the arrival of Jérémie Vergne, a former trainer at Belco, who stepped in as the roaster and green coffee buyer.
In 2024, roasting will settle at Cité Bleue, a creative third place in Bacalan dedicated to artisanal production and eco-friendly initiatives. Equipped with two Probat roasters, Piha roasts micro-lots daily in a workshop open to the public, staying true to its philosophy: to roast with intention and precision; to work closely with producers and let the coffee speak for itself, showcasing its unique terroir.
