The best water park in the world is just 2 hours from Bordeaux
Futuroscope, a gem of entertainment in the heart of Vienne, is shining once again on the international stage. This Saturday, during the 31st Thea Awards Ceremony in Hollywood, its water park, Aquascope, was crowned Best Water Park in the World. This prestigious award, equivalent to the Oscars, honors innovation, creativity, and technical excellence in theme parks. The award was presented by professionals from the Themed Entertainment Association.

A Global Reference
Inaugurated in July 2024, the Aquascope has managed to stand out among 300 international applications. This 6,000 m² water park, with its three thematic areas – Immersion, Sensations, and Kids – captivated the jury with its innovative concept and dazzling lighting design, crafted by a French company.
This is not the first time that Futuroscope has been honored internationally : after the success of its attraction "Tornado Hunters", crowned in 2023 as the best attraction in the world, this new award confirms its status as a leader in global entertainment.

Games, relaxation, and immersive experiences in water
The park offers a unique experience that blends cutting-edge technology and immersive attractions. Visitors can wander through spaces where light games, video mapping, and choreographed water effects come together. Thrill-seekers can enjoy a unique dive through eight dizzying slides and a wave pool, not to mention the area dedicated to children, where a playful universe under the watchful eye of the creature Kraki comes to life with mini-slides, a maze, a musical cave, or a giant water bucket.

In just one year, the Aquascope has already won several awards, including three European distinctions and the World Innovation Award from the World Waterpark Association. The goal for this season: to welcome 500,000 visitors, considering that Futuroscope itself attracts nearly 2 million visitors each year. This isn't too ambitious for the park, which is already fully booked during every school holiday. Just a reminder, constructing the water park required an investment of 57 million euros.
