On the weekend of February 1st and 2nd, the capital was alive with the excitement of the French championships in Thai boxing, a high-level event that brought together the best fighters from France. Among them, a rising star lit up the ring brilliantly: Argentine Avril, originally from the Arcachon Basin and now living in Bordeaux, triumphed in the under 57 kg category, earning the highly coveted gold medal.

Argentine Avril: French Muay-Thai Champion 2025
The French championships in Muay Thai are the highlight of this sport in France. Each year, athletes first qualify through regional competitions before facing the best in the nation in knockout bouts, all the way to the finals. In this arena, Argentine Avril shone brightly, winning two decisive matches to take first place and earn the recognition of an entire discipline.
She was coached by Vincent Louineau with 4 to 5 training sessions per week, plus 2 hours of technical work each day. "My intense preparation combines CrossFit, weight training, cardio... and more recently, yoga to improve my flexibility and relaxation" Argentine explains.

This success isn’t just luck; it's the result of remarkable perseverance. Vice-champion of France in 2024, the 26-year-old boxer from Aquitaine claimed her victory this year, reaching the very top of the podium with unwavering determination.

But Argentine Avril is more than just a high-level athlete. She balances the world of boxing and beauty pageants, where she already shines as the first runner-up of Miss Aquitaine. She also completed her studies last September with a degree in business (bac+5) obtained through an apprenticeship. "From now on, I’m turning towards modeling, eager to blend these two demanding worlds that require discipline, body control, and determination" she shares with us.
A unique and versatile profile, ready to excel both in the ring and on the stage of competitions. "In 2025, I plan to put my crown back on the line to claim the title of Miss Aquitaine" she smiles, with stars in her eyes.
