The Maison de Blanche Bed & Breakfast is a luxurious 150 m2 space that combines hospitality and delights. On the ground floor, you will discover a chiffon cake bar with amazement. This iconic Asian cake, flavored with seasonal fruits and topped with lightly sweetened whipped cream, is made with a genoise cake prepared in a different way than in the Western tradition to achieve a combination of softness and lightness. The result? A smooth, creamy, and weightless sensation in the mouth.

Blanche Chu, who founded her eponymous Maison in Chartrons with her husband, grew up with this sweet treat. Passionate about pastry, she participated in the Tele Master Chef show in Singapore. Noticing the lack of chiffon cake in the Bordeaux pastry market, she saw it as a real goldmine to stand out in the wine city.
A gourmet and elegant setting
Quickly, the people of Bordeaux embraced the concept and success followed. The Taiwanese founder offers her cakes by the slice, to enjoy on site (11 seats available) or to take away, priced at 7€. In line with its pastry shop that resembles luxury houses, these cakes will also be high-end. Worked in round shapes (instead of triangles as initially planned) and in a more refined version, the chiffon cake paradise aims to shake up the norm with elegance as its culinary and identity foundation.
To accompany them, there is a range of "Oolong" teas imported from Taiwan. Considered the best on the continent, they surprise palates with authentic, fragrant, and fruity flavors. Additionally, artisanal iced tea and coffee from Alchimiste are also available.

La Maison de Blanche shines with its prestigious decoration, light tones, and high-end furniture. The French-Taiwanese couple who owns the entire building decided to open 3 guest rooms upstairs in May. Always with the same chic & cozy identity, the rooms were designed by an interior architect.
