Since its opening in the summer of 2022, the restaurant Chai n°8 has quickly become one of the most recommended addresses in Bordeaux. In just two weeks, it has risen to 80th out of over 2000 restaurants in Bordeaux. It's no surprise when you learn that it is the little brother of Melodie (the icon of rue des Faussets since 1989). Thanks to the exponential demand from customers, the Meiar family, owners of the group, have launched the latest addition to the family. Chai n°8 is based on the same values and the same concept of a short menu at a fixed price.©Louis_Vizet - Chai8

Chai n°8: Simple, generous cuisine with fresh ingredients

You'll find the menu at an unbeatable (and undisputed) price of €22 including starter, main course, and dessert. The intentionally short but quality menu pays homage to the good traditional delicacies of the Southwest. Here, in a warm and unpretentious atmosphere, customers easily fall for dishes like "Roasted Saint-Nectaire cheese", "Suprême of poultry with brown sauce, baby potatoes and mixed greens", or "catch of the day with lime chantilly cream and Parmesan risotto". And of course, the "chocolate mousse" that strangely reminds us of the one that sat on the family table.

In this small neighborhood bistro where everything is homemade (forget about the existence of a freezer!), the team is young and smiling. Aged from 20 to 27 years old (for the senior), they work in the dining room with a smile and motivation in 2 services (12pm-2pm or 7pm-9pm). Chai n°8 has 45 seats spread out in 3 different areas. One of them is highly sought after for group events. This no-frills address is a success. Well-deserved popularity!
