Traditionally, a Chinese fondue is enjoyed as a friendly and family meal. A bit like a dripping cheese fondue (yum). It is a vegetable broth that can be spiced with ginger, in which you dip your meat (or fish). In Bordeaux, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat one at a typical Chinese restaurant: Chez Kimmie. The restaurant opened its doors in 2014, near the Victor-Hugo avenue.
The all-you-can-eat fondue is served with everything you like and comes in sea or land fondue. To go more into detail, the sea fondue (price around 23€ per person) is served like this :The traditional Chinese fondue 100% with accompaniments meat, seafood, vegetables, tofu, sliced rice cake, noodles, etc. There are 5 different types of broths that vary the flavors. Among them, the plain, Thai, shrimp sautéed.The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, from cheese fondue to spicy sauces and even chili. Due to their success, the restaurant even offers take-out fondue options, either as a single serving or for two.
