40 years after making rock history with their planetary hits, Simple Minds is preparing its grand return to European roads. The Scottish group led since its beginnings by singer Jim Kerr has just announced a new tour for 2027, with several dates planned in France and in Europe's major capitals. In Bordeaux, the appointment is set for Wednesday, April 14, 2027.
"Don't You (Forget About Me)" will resonate at the Arkéa Arena
It's hard to mention Simple Minds without immediately having a song stuck in your head. "Don't You (Forget About Me)", which became mythical thanks to the film The Breakfast Club, "Alive and Kicking" and "Mandela Day" have established the group among the essential formations of the British rock scene.
Jim Kerr and his musicians should therefore offer a true journey through several decades
of career, between greatest hits and new tracks. Because this tour won't only be about revisiting past hits: Simple Minds is also preparing a new album, announced for early 2027.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
Bordeaux among the major stops on the French tour
The tour will pass through several major French cities including the LDLC Arena in Lyon on April 9, the Accor Arena in Paris on April 10, the Galaxie in Amnéville on April 11, and the Zénith in Nantes on April 13. The Scottish group will obviously not stop at French borders and will travel through a good part of Europe in 2027. Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden are also on the program for this tour that promises to be particularly ambitious.
Tickets arriving very soon
Bordeaux fans don't have to wait until spring 2027 to get organized, though: ticket sales open on September 10 at 10am. In other words, it's best to have your calendar handy and a few quick reflexes to grab your spot!
