A Unique Event for Cognac Lovers
Never before has such a gathering been organized! Bordeaux, the ultimate city for food lovers, will host the first Cognac Festival on Saturday, November 15th. The Grande Poste will be completely privatized for the occasion and is expected to welcome between 600 and 800 visitors in just one day.
On the agenda: 36 cognac houses and a collective stand for independent bottlers, which means nearly 37 exhibitors to discover. As for tastings, the offerings promise to delight the taste buds: 80% cognac and 20% pineau des Charentes.
Unlimited Tastings and Free Masterclasses
The admission ticket, offered at €15 (€10 for students), includes access to unlimited tastings. Visitors will also have the chance to participate in one of the eight free masterclasses organized every 35 minutes: plenty of opportunities to deepen your knowledge, discover the secrets of production, or explore the art of cocktails at the mixology stand, conducted in partnership with the MFR school of Vayres.
A pop-up shop will allow you to leave with your favorite finds sold at producer prices, while an exclusive bottling limited to 100 bottles, created for the event in collaboration with Swell de Spirits, will delight collectors.
After at La Belle en Folie
While the festivities will take place from 10:30 AM to 8 PM, the party will continue with an after at La Belle en Folie. This evening...spéciale will offer a menu of unique cocktails and dishes created especially for the occasion. For 24 hours, Bordeaux will celebrate Charente brandy with a special event. "The goal is to establish this event as a yearly tradition and to make it a must-attend occasion in the spirits community," shares Romain, the founder of the Cognac Festival.
