This summer, festivals in France are taking on a travel vibe thanks to Barrio Havana, a 100% Cuban block party that’s here to make the crowds dance and warm hearts. Following the legendary Garorock, which kicked off the festivities in early July, it's the SunSka Festival that delighted you with an atmosphere that’s simply electric!
A Dive into Cuban Culture
After the success of Calle Havana in previous years, the spirit of Cuba is making a strong comeback in 2025 with an even more immersive concept: Barrio Havana. Picture a real neighborhood of Havana recreated right in the middle of the festival – colorful houses, Caribbean rhythms, dominoes, laughter, and overall, a concentration of good vibes and overflowing energy just like in the streets of Cuba!

In Cuba, the barrio, is more than just a neighborhood: it’s a state of mind. It’s where neighbors come together to dance, play, chat, cook together, and above all… party like never before. And this year, it’s that very energy that the Barrio Havana is packing in its suitcase to share with festival-goers all summer long. In short, it’s a one-way ticket to Cuba without leaving France, making your heart beat to the rhythm of the fiesta!
Double dose of festivities
And in 2025, this unique atmosphere is going to be recreated in festivals across France. At the beginning of July, right in the heart of the Garorock festival, the Barrio Havana set the scene – a true reconstructed Cuban neighborhood, bursting with vibrant colors and a charged-up vibe.. And after this undeniable success, he set the Médoc ablaze at the SunSka Festival. For three days, it was an incredible mix of Caribbean music brought to you by the Twerkistan collective: reggaeton, shatta, dancehall, with improvised sessions, dance battles, fun activities, games, smiles... and that warmth of human connection that embodies the charm of Cuba.

True meeting and sharing place, Barrio Havana has quickly become the must-visit spot of the festival, a vibrant, festive place where you can spend hours, caught up in the atmosphere. A refreshing break, joyful and halfway between a block party and a neighborhood celebration, it left a mark on hearts and got everyone moving. And it's not over yet!
