In its first edition, Pagaille makes a big splash. The Cure, an essential figure in the alternative scene since the late 1970s, will be the headline act on Friday, August 28, 2026.
Led by Robert Smith, the British band is behind many cult albums, including Disintegration, and continues to charm crowds around the world. After releasing their 14th studio album in 2024 and winning two Grammy Awards in 2026, The Cure cements its status as a living legend and promises to be the highlight of the season in Bordeaux.

The Mess on Place des Quinconces !
Named Pagaille, this new festival will take over Place des Quinconces for 2 delightful days of concerts, meet-ups, and cultural experiences. On Saturday, August 29, get ready for a full day of concerts, surprises, and discoveries, with a lineup to be revealed in the coming months.
The event promises an eclectic lineup, featuring international artists, emerging talents, and unique collaborations.

A New Generation Festival
Beyond music, Pagaille aims to offer a complete cultural experience with immersive scenographies, workshops, conferences, and a food court. The festival also highlights environmental and local commitment, with the goal of reducing its ecological footprint and promoting local players.
Supported by Côte Ouest agency (Sud Ouest Group), Peel Productions, and Sauce Productions, the project receives backing from the City of Bordeaux and Bordeaux Metropolis.
