The new exhibition « The Egypt of the Pharaohs, from Khufu to Ramses II » combines classical art and cutting-edge digital technologies to offer a brand new experience where pharaohs come to life through a monumental projection in space. Every wall, every corner of the Bassins de Lumières transforms into a giant canvas, wrapping the spectator in a flow of colors and shapes to rediscover the treasures of this millennia-old civilization, its cosmic mysteries, and its grand architectural achievements.

Shining a Light on a Mythical Civilization Spanning 3 Millennia
The exhibition begins by recalling the ruins discovered during the Egypt Campaign (1798-1801) and the drawings by David Roberts. You’ll then be transported to the heart of ancient Egypt, where gods reveal themselves and the Nile embodies the source of life. Scenes of everyday life spring to life through ancient bas-reliefs, paintings, and papyrus.

Admire the construction of the pyramids and the rise of the pharaohs through monumental sculptures, featuring the mythical figures of Khéphren, Nefertiti, and Akhenaton. Gold, a symbol of divinity, flows along the walls, showcasing royal jewelry. The exhibition takes you from the temples of Luxor to Abu Simbel, then dives into the Valley of the Kings and the tomb of Tutankhamun, and finally explores the Valley of the Queens with the tomb of Nefertari.
"Travel back in time and rediscover the Egypt of the pharaohs through the masterpieces of this mythical civilization that spans three millennia and fascinates all generations" emphasizes Culturespaces, the creator of the digital center.
