The Winemakers Take Over Rue des Bahutiers
It's a first for Bordeaux! After two successful editions in Paris, the female and male winemakers of the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation are making their debut in the Gironde capital with a pop-up wine bar right in the city center.
The idea is simple and incredibly effective: to offer a friendly place where you can chat, sample, and understand wine while talking directly to those who grow it. Here, there are no middlemen, just tastings with the winemakers, glasses and bottles at retail prices, and stories told candidly.
A delicious gathering with a taste of the South-West
This wine bar does more than just showcase bottles. Designed as a multi-faceted event, it also highlights other crafts from the South-West. Cheeses from the IGP Tomme des Pyrénées, asparagus from Blayais (IGP), and local products accompany the tastings, creating simple and generous pairings. Around 30 winemakers and producers will take turns throughout the week to bring this spot to life and share their passion in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Rugby, wine, and music are on the agenda
Open from Tuesday to Friday from 5 PM to 11 PM, Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM, this pop-up wine bar aims to be much more than just a counter: "it's a place where you come to meet those who craft the wine," the team assures us.
The perfect opportunity to taste alongside winemakers, chat about their cuvées, and leave with a bottle (or two) at a fair price. You can stop by for a drink at the end of the day, extend your aperitif on the weekend, or sit down for tapas in a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. In the background, the Six Nations Tournament matches will be broadcasted for rugby fans, while lively DJ sets will keep the nights buzzing.
