Opened in mid-March in place of the Jaqen, the Space Factory continues the conquest of craft beer in Bordeaux in a decidedly futuristic setting.

Space Factory: A Local Journey to Craft Beer in Bordeaux

Discover the Saint-Christoly neighborhood, right in front of Monoprix. Space Factory is the new craft beer bar in Bordeaux, with a theme that invites you on a journey through space with decorative touches. Led by Thibault Linte, the owner of the famous board game bar Lila & The Barber in Gambetta, this new venue follows the success of his first beer brewing venture in his older establishment. Quickly, the ball gets rolling and the " Space Musette " starts causing a buzz.

The idea then came to open their own craft beer bar. On the menu? You can find the famous house signature in IPA and 2 discoveries (currently a fruity white beer with raspberry, beetroot, and blackcurrant). But that's not all. The idea is to offer a dedicated beer discovery experience.

To do this, 100 references including 9 on tap are offered on the menu. Faced with the multitude of choices, there is no menu on-site but all the bottles can be found on the Untappd app (translated into English for tourists). All beers are exclusively local with renowned labels such as Azimut, Effet Papillon, Brasseurs Accueilleurs, La Superbe du Pays Basque, and La Débauche from Angoulême.

Craft beers, concerts & open access board games

For snacking, the air-conditioned bar with 60 seats offers a nice menu of mixed or vegetarian platters, grilled cheese, hot dog, roasted camembert, tapas and spreads. Many best-sellers from Lila & The Barber can be found at Space Factory. With some new additions too!

And to add some pressure to the Bordelais, whose schedules are already busy, the bar doesn't skimp on evenings. Every Tuesday and Wednesday, an event is scheduled. From blind tests to tasting evenings, passing through beer-olympiads or concerts planned twice a month... The hoppy living space has many assets. Not to mention the forty board games available and the free-access arcade games.
