Marrying vineyard culture with Taiwanese specialties

Welcome to restaurant Bui Bui. Its cute name meaning "bon vivant" in Taiwanese, it welcomes Bordelais around an innovative concept that draws its essence from the vine and the land of the rising sun. Opened by Marco in April, the newcomer in the Gambetta neighborhood is a treasure trove for foodies.

Despite its recent opening, it already owes its success to its spectacular wine list punctuated by 400 wine references. Bottles coming from the region, from France, from Europe, and some rare labels. With a heart to discover new bottles, Bui Bui offers very affordable prices with glasses served between 5€ and 9€.

Bringing authentic Taiwanese gastronomy to Bordeaux

Behind this vintage concept, we find Marco, a pure-blooded Taiwanese who wants to bring his culture to Bordeaux. A professional sommelier (who has been making wine at Château Siran in Margaux since 2015-2016), the enthusiastic restaurateur has designed a simple, entirely homemade menu with vibrant flavors of Taiwan.

Traditional recipes from the Chinese state are recreated with fresh, high-quality ingredients and enhanced with some contemporary twists. An explosion of authenticity with every bite

Among the must-try dishes on the menu, customers flock to the typical country Fried Chicken, the classic Gua Bao, the secret Bui-Bui Pork with rice, the chicken noodles with pickled chili, and even the snow cake for a sweet ending. 

To invite the people of Bordeaux to discover his establishment, Marco organiIf a pop-up with a four-hands menu created by Chef Hong Ly, the Flying Chef, and their passionate Executive Chef Tzu Ti is something you enjoy, then you're in luck! From July 28th to 30th only, a special menu will offer 3 lunch dishes for €45 and 5 dinner dishes for €69.
