With an ultra friendly atmosphere, a unique collection of rums, cheap pints, and a tempting "Happy Hour", Vintage Bar stands out as the go-to afterwork/afterschool spot of the season. And the cherry on top: a terrace with a breathtaking view of the Grosse Cloche.

"Ding-Dong"! We have a date at the most iconic bar on Saint-James Street. Of course, we are talking about the Vintage Bar. The little brother of the Vintage Café on the docks (also part of the Rockwood and Balthazar, all from the Vintage Group), the bar in Saint-Paul has opted for a slightly different positioning. While the key word of this Bordeaux establishment remains conviviality, it is characterized by an atmosphere halfway between the trendy hipster bar, the meeting point for tattoo artists, and the old Cuban dive bar. Because the specialty of the establishment is rum! With nearly 140 rums to taste, from all over the world.

After spending some years in Guyana, Matthieu, the founder of Vintage Group, fell in love with this unique spirit. When he came back to Bordeaux, he realized that the city was mostly focused on beer and wine. Seeing an opportunity, he decided to create this classic and nostalgic rum bar. Want to hear a secret? You can even savor a 1929 rum from the Bally distillery in Martinique. There are only 3 or 4 bottles in all of France. This exclusive collection brings prestige and fame to the bar.

There is a true spirit within this bar that showcases a vintage rum from 1929 from the Bally distillery in Martinique. This rare selection speaks to the bar's elegance and reputation.

With about 50 seats indoors and 15 on the terrace, you can relish the warm ambiance created by delicate fairy lights and soft lighting, all while enjoying a mix of rock, electro, funk, and sometimes jazz music.

Get your dancing shoes on because we're about to groove to some tunes - especially on Sundays. If you're a beer lover, you'll be thrilled to know that we have 9 beers on tap, including some exciting new additions since we reopened post-lockdown. We recommend trying the Paix-Dieux, a rich and incredibly smooth beer brewed at 10 degrees by the Caulier brewery under the light of the full moon. The crowd favorite is definitely the Chouffe. And if cocktails are more your style, we've got a fantastic selection of gins (around 10) and some amazing homemade rum-based cocktails. Here's to good times and good drinks! Cheers!

After a day of hard work, it's time to relax. At Vintage Bar, you can enjoy delicious platters filled with fresh bread from La Huche, dry sausage, terrines, and Iberian plates. It's snacking, but with a touch of elegance. And as a cherry on top, Vintage Bar is part of 1% for the Planet, donating 1% of their earnings to environmental causes.

The friendly and inviting team working at the bar - a young group of friends, of course - frequently organize events in collaboration with cultural, community, and student organizations in the city.
