It's the phenomenon that has captivated over 600,000 spectators across France and shows that the meeting of historical buildings and new technologies can create real wonders. Thanks to its 360° light projections and musical accompaniments, LUMINISCENCE allows the most beautiful cathedrals in France to come to life. And after the Saint-Eustache church in Paris, the cathedral of Rouen, and Notre-Dame in Strasbourg, the show returns to where it all began, in the heart of the Saint-André Cathedral in Bordeaux, to present its new creation.
The Celestial Odyssey, the new unprecedented experience by LUMINISCENCE
This fall, a new story begins for LUMINISCENCE. The multisensory show that dazzles us is unveiling its brand new show at the beginning of September.
Unprecedented creation: The Celestial Odyssey. The Saint Andrew Cathedral of Bordeaux opens its doors once again to the lights of a luminous tale, following a breathtaking first edition in 2023. And this time, a new breath sweeps through the nave… Dotted with stars and stained glass vaults, the monument reveals to us the grand narrative of its history and uncovers all the secrets of its memory.
Settled in comfortably, all you have to do is look up and let yourself be swept away by the vibrant colors and sparkling illuminations that will gradually embrace each stone of the building through the 360° video mapping. It's quite simple, no matter where your gaze lands, the Bordeaux Cathedral will present you with a splendid spectacle, blending art, technology, and poetry.
A meeting of music and architecture
So get ready to embark on a true odyssey through time, the skies, and the storms, all wrapped in a complete sound immersion. The multisensory experience LUMINISCENCE promises to take you on a journey to the rhythm of live music, performed at each showing by soloists as well as the most talented choirs from the region.

As usual, in addition to its classic performances, LUMINISCENCE organizes immersive concerts during extraordinary evenings. On this occasion, we welcome the LUMINISCENCE orchestra, made up of 15 musicians, who come to the Saint-André Cathedral to enrich the choir’s voices. A brand-new musical version!
